Wesley Wolverine sophomore catcher Nina Marcano (Townsend, DE), playing for Team Lime yesterday, Sunday, July 13, was one of five players to reach base on the losing side of a 9-0 blowout against Team Orange at The Beach League (Myrtle Beach, SC).

At the plate, Nina drilled a single between second and short in her first at bat against Washington Husky senior pitcher Hailey Bator (Cle Elum, WASH). Nina finished the game 1-for-2 with a fly ball to right field.

Behind the plate, Nina caught a multi-repertoire of pitches tossed by Florida Seminoles sophomore pitcher Jessica Burroughs (Warner Robins, GA) for Team Lime. Burroughs struck out eight from the circle in the five inning shorten game.

They will resume play again today at 7:00 PM EDT.
