“This year the most prolific offense is Auburn... The team has put up 349 runs in 44 games for an average of 7.93 runs per game...

“The 4th most potent offense in the NCAA this season is Arkansas... The Razorbacks have scored 324 runs in 45 games for a 7.02 runs per game average...

“Auburn and Alabama are ranked #1 and #4 in the SEC in runs scored, but rank #9 and last in the standings. The best pitchers in the game average less than a single run allowed per 7 innings, so the offense only needs to score one run on average to win those games. You don’t need a potent offense to (be) a great team.”
