Chris. Newport up a notch

Wesley Wolverines' CAC opponents the Salisbury Sea Gulls remain this week at their #3 national rating, while the Christopher Newport Captains were bumped up to the #21 position. CAC awards weekly honors to league players; 

NFCA ranks D3 colleges nationally.

Salisbury has had a perfect start with a 4-0 record where they have outscored the opposition 31-1, while allowing only 12 hits and commiting no fielding errors. Their shortstop Kim Dorsey and pitcher Rachael Johnson were named CAC players of the week.

Christopher Newport is on a seven game winning streak, which has boosted their record to 7-3. At the start of their season, the Captains lost both ends of a doubleheader to the Virginia Wesleyan Marlins, who are now #8 in the NFCA polling.
