FRESHMAN CLASS

Eight new faces
Outstanding freshman class holds
bright promise for Wesley softball

The incoming Wesley Wolverine freshman softball recruits stand out with achievements, accolades, and awards between the chalk lines as well as in the classroom. 

There are three first-year players from downstate Delaware, two from both sides of Maryland's bay, one who resides deep into Pennsylvanian and another all the way from sunny Southern California. They are three pitchers, three catchers, and two that roam the outfield.

C/1B #5  Alora Wilson (Salisbury, MD). All-Conference, twice a Class ‘C’ State Champion, Member/ National Honor Society! 

P/OF #9  Lily Engel (Dover, DE). Starting pitcher for HS that went to state's semifinals for first time in school history, also won five MVP awards at multi fastpitch tournaments.

P/MI #12  Lindsay Siok (Milford, DE). Excelled for HS that reached TWO state final championship games; Honor Roll & Spanish Honor Society student!

C/3B #18 Nina Marcano (Middletown, DE). All-Conference & MVP of Delaware's prestigious 2013 Blue-Gold All-Star Game.

OF #19 Casey Beall (Severn, MD) four-sport HS athlete, All-County softball and a Honor Roll student.

C/3b #21 Whitney Dibb (La Mesa, CA). Whitney led HS to San Diego CIF Division I Softball Championship, named All-Conference, HS team MVP, Offensive Player of the Year recognition plus a Golden Bat Award. Four-year honor student!

Olivia DeGraba
P/1B #42 Devin Mackay (Bangor, PA). Devin led HS to District Playoffs, three-time All-Area performer and All-Colonial League award. High Honors Student!

OF #99 Olivia DeGraba (Germantown, MD). Olivia's club team won five USSSA Championships, Member/ National Honor Society!


You will be hearing a lot more from these young ladies in another few days and weeks ahead, though they'll be talking primarily with bats, gloves and effort!
