First tournament played
next week at VA beaches
The Beach Blast softball tournament, hosted by Virginia Weslyian College, at Virginia Beach, VA, is almost here. Now in its 17th year as a venue, our Wesley Wolverines will be joined by 28 other colleges and universities for four contests each on Friday and Saturday, February 28 and March 1.
The games will be played at the Princess Anne Athletic Complex, which should be familiar to most club team players in the Mid-Atlantic region. The park has hosted, and has long been a favorite destination for, travel-ball tournaments for many years. It offers eight lighted high-quality softball diamonds with two full-service concession stands and a restroom area. Click here for map of complex.
The fields feature: ● Portable fencing that reduces fences to 200 ft ● Electronic scoreboards ● Luckstone mix infield ● Shaded player benches ● Shaded ADA accessible spectator area ● Two gazebos with four picnic tables in each area ● Tournament information boards and ● On-site parking with over 830 spaces.
