New sports complex welcomes
Wesley Wolverines this March
The Wesley Wolverines have a nine game schedule as part of the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic, South Carolina, Monday, March 10 through Friday, March 14. Many of the games will be played in the BRAND NEW (opening March 2014!) North Myrtle Beach Recreation & Sports Park.
The Fastpitch Dreams tournament website declares “Excitement is in the Air”, while they prepare for what Myrtle Beach Online estimates will bring 60 collegiate softball teams and “about 2,500 ball players and coaches and perhaps as many family members onto the 160-acre complex.”
Among a large list of features and amenities, the new sports park boasts ● 6 collegiate softball fields ● 8 batting tunnels ● misting fans in each dugout ● concessions areas/ picnic shelters/ 3 playgrounds ● walking & bike trails ● 3 acre dog park ● 10 acre meadow and ● 25 acre lake for water-related activities .
