@ Firefly Music Festival
Wesley Wolverines – softball & volleyball combined -- gathered earlier this afternoon in Wesley College's Wentworth Gym parking lot. Uniform today: white shirt and khaki or black pants with an apron to be added later. Assignment: concession stand workers; team fund-raising. Destination: Dover Firefly Music Festival's absolutely incredible extravaganza!
Most of the group are from out-of-town and bunking for the next four nights with local teammates in the Kent County, Delaware, area.

These young ladies will be spending an awful lot of time through Sunday near and around the Dover International Speedway's “monster mile”, where the event is taking place.
For most, that will be 46 hours over 3-1/2 days laboring outside, though under tents, among throngs of music fans (80,000 expected) and 100+ big-name bands in weather conditions that should reach forecasted temperatures of 85 degrees (with some showers/ t-storms here and there). It also can be quite a hike from parking to the 154 acre 5 stage area of the Firefly fields.
If you go, look for the Wesley players at the “Verde Fresh” booth (softball players) and “Sweet Tooth” tent (Volleyball team). CLICK HERE for the blog post that lists the individual participants and provides more information about the Firefly happening.
